Alex Usifo
Alex Usifo Omiagbo, one of the fathers in the Nigerian Movie Industry, Nollywood English sector. Born into a catholic home, he attended catholic primary and secondary schools. He is the second of four children and hails from Ewohimi in Edo state, Nigeria. He studied Mass Communication And Philosophy at the University of Lagos and Catholic Major Seminary, SS Peter & Paul.
His journey into the world of theatre and screen started in the early 70's when he was appointed as the operations assistant at NTA Benin (camera/audio manager) and has since risen to one of the top actors on the continent of Africa featuring in well over 100 films. He made his first appearance on Television in a film titled "The Return of the Natives".
Born 16th of April 1953, Alex Usifo is happily married and is located at Akowonjo, Egbeda, in Lagos State.
